Douglas Park Back to School Bash
The Third Annual Back to School Bash at Douglas Park will be held August 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Douglas Park is located at 804 S. Watauga Ave.
Sponsored by Big Boys BBQ and Grill, the Back to School Bash will feature school supplies, a bazaar and give-away as well as food, fun, and games. Music and entertainment will also be featured.
Toby Mac Concert August 10 at EHS
Toby Mac will be coming to Citizens Bank Stadium on August 10 for Tweetsie Trail Jams 2024 and will have a special guest opening up the evening.
Cochren & Co. will be the opening act for Toby Mac.
With more than 10 million albums sold TobyMac remains one of Billboard’s top selling acts since 2000, with number one hits like “Me Without You”, “I Just Need You”, “Help is on the Way”, “Love Broke Through”, “Cornerstone”, and “The Goodness”. You’ll also recognize hits from Cochren & Co. such as “Running Home” and most recently, “Parking Lot”.
Tickets are $12.50 and up.
Rockin’ On the Doe Concert
The Rockin’ On the Doe Concert August 24 downtown Elizabethton will feature On The Border: The Ultimate Eagles Concert Band at 5 p.m.
The free concert will take place on E. Elk Avenue in front of the Monument (just in front of the Covered Bridge Park entrance) as the street will be closed for the concert.
The event is sponsored by the Elizabethton Parks and Rec Department.
Championship Rodeo August 16 & 17
The Mead Tractor Championship Rodeo will be held August 16 and 17 at Evening Breeze Arena, 239 C. Grindstaff Road. Cowboys and cowgirls from the Southern Rodeo Association will be appearing.
Eight professional rodeo events will be featured. Also appearing will be professional rodeo entertainer Johnny Allen and award winning Trick and Fancy Rider.
Gates open at 6 p.m. both days and events will begin at 7 p.m. There is a charge of $20 for adults and $15 for children, five-10.
