Carter County Sheriff’s Office offers $1,000 reward for information on escaped inmate

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the location and return of Billy Fletcher.
Fletcher, 43, of Butler, walked off from his work detail at the Carter County Jail on June 20, 2024. He was being housed for a violation of probation and now faces an active warrant for escape.
Anyone with information on Fletcher’s whereabouts is asked to call Investigator Preston White at 423-542-1851 or the Carter County Sheriff’s Office at 423-542-1845. Tips can also be submitted online at https://www.sheriff.cc/home/contact-us/warrants-tips/.
Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in ensuring Fletcher’s swift return to custody.
