Boys & Girls Club announces winners of Pitch, Hit & Run Competition

The Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County announced the winners of its Pitch, Hit & Run competition held on Friday, June 14, at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark.

The winners for each age division are as follows:

  • 5 & 6-Year-Old Division: Colton Russell
  • 7 & 8-Year-Old Division: Ryan Baker (baseball) and Livinia Young (softball)
  • 9 & 10-Year-Old Division: Mason Pierce (baseball) and Sophia Yarberry (softball)
  • 11 & 12-Year-Old Division: Cain Gutierrez (baseball) and Eva Solomon (softball)
  • 13 & 14-Year-Old Division: James Edmonds (baseball) and Zoie Miller (softball)

A big thanks goes to the Boys & Girls Club staff, including Kiva Fuller, and the staff of the River Riders for their support in organizing this event.

The winners will be recognized on Saturday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. before the River Riders game. Sponsored by Major League Baseball and Citizens Bank, the event provided young athletes with an opportunity to showcase their skills in pitching, hitting, and running. The winners will have a chance to advance to regional competition.
