The following arrests have been reported by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office:
May 26
Kapris Printise Rambin: Deputy Joshua Smith was dispatched to 2313 Elizabethton Highway (Sinking Creek Baptist Church), for a warrant service. Rambin was taken into custody for failure to appear out of Carter County Criminal Court and transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
Mark A. Fortenberry: Sgt. Justin Johnson responded to the 4500 block of Highway 19E for a welfare check. Fortenberry was recognized and found to have two active warrants for failure to appear. He was arrested and transported to the jail.
Scottie Allen Birchfield: Deputy Donovan Bemiller responded to Johnson City Medical Center. Birchfield, who had been discharged, was taken into custody for warrants including DUI and driving without a license. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
May 28
Dalton T. Markland: Deputy Jared Shelton responded to a report of a male in the roadway near Hampton High School. Markland showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for public intoxication. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
May 29
Matthew Alan Shell: Deputy Kevin Kemp took Shell into custody at the Washington County Detention Center for two failure to appear warrants. Shell was transported and booked at the Carter County Detention Center.
Tara Brooke Maney: Deputy Jared Shelton met with Washington County Sheriff’s Office at Sinking Creek Baptist Church for a warrant service. Maney was taken into custody for contempt of court and transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
May 30
Robert Dewane Mack Hughes: Deputy Jared Shelton observed a vehicle with a mismatched license plate. After a pursuit, Hughes was arrested for driving while revoked, evading arrest, and misuse of registration. The vehicle was found to be stolen. Hughes was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
May 31
Ella Telyse Hurt: Deputy Jared Shelton conducted a traffic stop for a license plate violation. Hurt, driving on a revoked license, was arrested and transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident. She was charged with driving while revoked for DUI and failure to illuminate license plate.
Billy J. Guy: Sgt. Robert Scott arrested Guy at the 9200 block of Highway 321 for a violation of probation warrant. He was transported and booked at the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
Douglas Lee Shaver: Deputy Cory Locklear responded to Rittertown Road for a suspicious person. Shaver, who had an active failure to appear warrant, attempted to flee and was tased. He was arrested for evading arrest and drug paraphernalia possession. Shaver was transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
June 1
Savanna Leigh Cable: Deputy Hunter Skalecki conducted a warrant service on Dejarnette St. Cable, with an active violation of probation warrant, was taken into custody and transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
