Carter County Schools has named Cody McClain as the head coach of the boys’ basketball program at Cloudland High School. McClain earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Johnson University in 2020. He most recently served as assistant boys’ basketball coach at Johnson County High School.

McClain began his collegiate basketball career at Tennessee Wesleyan, where he played for two seasons before transferring to Johnson University for his junior year. During his time at Hampton High School, he was part of the 2013-14 Bulldogs team that advanced to the state semifinals.

Coach McClain expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season and is eager to get to know his team and the community.
