Johnson City Police arrest Blountville man on aggravated assault, vandalism charges

JOHNSON CITY – On May 21, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Rusty Harrison, 43, of Blountville, and charged him with one count of aggravated assault and one count of vandalism over $1,000.
At 11:30 a.m. on the above date, JCPD officers responded to the parking lot at 3019 Peoples St., in reference to a domestic disturbance. A woman told police that Harrison had been following her in his vehicle. The investigation revealed that he intentionally hit her vehicle with his, pushing her vehicle into a light pole.
Harrison left the scene but was located and arrested a short time later. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
