On April 2, investigators from the Johnson City Police Department’s Special Victims Unit apprehended Ryan Walton, 50, of Jacksonville, N.C., on charges of being a fugitive from justice.
Walton is facing multiple charges related to sex crimes against a child in Onslow County, N.C., including indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape.
Acting on information that Walton was present at a residence on Camelot Circle, JCPD SVU investigators swiftly moved to arrest him. Walton was taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he awaits extradition to Onslow County, N.C., to face the charges against him.
