- Photo Contributed/Carson Peters & Iron Mountain will kick off the 50th year of bluegrass and old-time shows at the Carter Fold March 2. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6. The Carter Family Fold is a musical performance and concert venue located near Hiltons, Va. It is dedicated to the preservation and performance of old-time country and bluegrass music. Carson Peters & Iron Mountain has quickly become one of the most energetic and hottest bluegrass bands in the business, making numerous trips to the Grand Ole Opry and musical venues.
