CITY OF ELIZABETHTON PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER

City of Elizabethton Water Resource Department General Manager Jonathan Pleasant was recently recognized as a recipient of The Business Journal of Tri-Cities Tennessee/Virginia 40 Under Forty award, which honors emerging stars in the region. Described by Elizabethton colleagues as intelligent, detail-oriented, approachable, personable, and committed to public service, Pleasant has excelled in every position held within the City of Elizabethton. He currently serves as the General Manager of the Water Resources Department.

Overseeing 60 employees, Pleasant manages an annual budget of $13.7 million and has been credited with advancing key capital projects that will have a lasting positive impact on the City of Elizabethton. He is dedicated to serving the greater good by effectively managing both people and projects, committed to leaving Elizabethton in a better state than he found it.
