Myrna W. Arnett, 85, of Hampton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord while resting peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1938 to the late Ray and Mae Pierce Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, six sisters, and one nephew.
Myrna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly and was adored equally in return. Her smile would light up a room. She enjoyed working puzzles, playing card games, and drawing with her children and grandchildren and was happiest spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ray Arnett, of the home; beloved children, Richard Arnett of Hampton, Raquel McKinney of Elizabethton, Ramona Wright of Elizabethton, and Ray (Tiffany) Arnett of Cary, N.C.; treasured grandchildren, Hunter and Rachael McKinney, Damien (Amber), Callie, Jade, Rayven, Presley, and Bowie Wright, Libby and Colin Arnett; one sister, Evelyn Cunningham of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 18, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. The family would especially like to thank Rosie Randall, Amy Stout, Marie Albertson, Megan Long, Josh, Jerry and all of the other nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice for their loving care.
