JOHNSON CITY — Joseph Henley, a 40-year-old resident of Johnson City, was arrested and charged by officers of the Johnson City Police Department on Nov. 29 for aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
The arrest was the outcome of an ongoing investigation conducted collaboratively by Homeland Security Investigations and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation focused on the exchange of pornographic images of children. A search warrant executed at Henley’s residence led to the discovery of images of child pornography.
Following the arrest, Henley was transported to the Carter County Detention Center, where he is currently being held on a $20,000 bond. His arraignment is scheduled at Carter County General Sessions Court for 9 a.m. on Dec. 1.
