Elizabethton Police Department reports arrests

The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:
On Nov. 5, Officer Hayden Holtsclaw responded to 1501 West Elk Ave. (Sycamore Shoals) regarding an unwanted guest. George Anthony Arnold was refusing to leave after being medically discharged from the hospital. Despite options for 24/7 care at a nursing home, Arnold declined and was subsequently arrested for criminal trespass and transported to jail.
On Nov. 4, Sgt. Eric Buck arrested Elijah Austin Swearingen at West H St. Swearingen had two active arrest warrants for violation of probation and failure to appear. He was transported without incident to the Carter County Detention Center.
On Nov. 4, Officer Nicholas Kerns responded to Snap-On Tools on Stateline Road, where he found Julie Yvonne Boings intoxicated and lying in the grass. Boings, stating she lived nearby, was arrested for public intoxication due to her high level of impairment. She was transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
On Nov. 3, Officer Chazz Hughes detained Dalton Carden and Dana Mae Faith Walsh at Walmart after discovering they had active arrest warrants for violation of probation. Both were transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
On Nov. 3, Officer Justin Pearce conducted a traffic stop at Riverside Park and found Louis Bonamo and Rhonda J. Tinker in possession of marijuana and other substances. Bonamo was charged with simple possession and given a court date. Tinker faced multiple drug-related charges.
On Nov. 6, Officer Ryan Manuel stopped Jason Allen Burleson for driving at a high speed on Broad Street. It was discovered that Burleson’s driver’s license was suspended, resulting in a summons for driving while license suspended and speeding.
On Nov. 6, Officer Justin Pearce arrested Michael Joe Woodby at Family Eye Care. Woodby was highly intoxicated and found to be a threat to his safety and the public. He was arrested for public intoxication and trespassed from the property.
On Nov. 6, Officer Nicholas Kerns stopped Jessie Combs for driving with a revoked license. Combs was issued a summons for driving on revoked (fourth offense) and financial responsibility, with a court date set for December 18.
On Nov. 6, Frederick Olds was arrested for violating an order of protection at Pearl Street. Despite previous explanations of the order, Olds was found at a location where he was prohibited from being. He was charged with violation of order of protection and resisting stop/arrest.
On Nov. 6, Officer Ryan Manuel arrested Michael Joe Woodby for public intoxication. Woodby was found to be highly intoxicated, and an empty vodka bottle was discovered during a search incident to arrest. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
On Nov. 7, Officer Spencer Ward arrested Lester L. Butz Jr. for an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear out of General Sessions Court. Butz was taken into custody and transported to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
Note: All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
