Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre presents a radio broadcast of the beloved story IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, just as it might have been done in 1947. No fancy sets or costumes. No choreography. Just the story. Just a talented group of actors who will step to the microphones and create characters using only their marvelous and distinct voices.

You’ll want to close your eyes and imagine your parents or grandparents huddled around their radio sets, listening to the story unfold for the very first time. Radio-painted pictures for the mind, instead of the eye. It will force you to use your imaginations and perhaps paint your own pictures of George and Mary Bailey, of Old Man Potter, of Bedford Falls, New York, on Christmas Eve…1947.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY is directed by Tom Flagg. The cast includes John Altom, Jules Corriere, Becky Edmisten, Karen Elb, John Greenwood, Joe Gumina, Steve Humphrey, Tom Sizemore, Emma Tate, and Joel VanEaton. It is sponsored by Dan & Pamela Pope and Sonia King
