Billie Joe Buck, 97, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Signature Health Center. He was born July 5, 1926 to the late Joe and Minnie Eastridge Buck.
Billie Joe was retired from the American Bemberg Corporation. He loved fishing and bluegrass music. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Sneed Buck; a son, Bobbie Buck I; a brother, Ray Buck; and a sister, Lou Oliver.
Survivors include his grandson, Bobbie Buck II and wife Freda; a great-grandson, Logan Buck; one sister, Sue Jarrett, Elizabethton; one brother, Jerry “Cotton” Buck, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Nancy Brown and Opal Shell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, November 2, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Edwards officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Signature Health for the excellent care he received.
