To the Editor:

Look to the cross. God provides a way for us. Find out who you are. It’s Christ living within us. God in the flesh went to the cross to pay for our sins and give us a peace that passeth understanding. When we try using our knowledge rather than accepting God’s way brings trouble.

When we begin thinking about God, we realize in our finite minds we can’t begin to comprehend the smallest events of God’s awesome greatness. He has no beginning and there will never be an end.

Someone has said the prescription that God gave us in the cross. C is for Christ, the son of God who died on the cross. R is the reason Christ died for our sins. O is the outcome of sin, which is death. S means Jesus was our substitute. The second S stands for our salvation. All surround the cross.

For our physical healing we look to and trust our family doctor. We follow his instructions whether we understand or not. The question is do we follow the instructions of the great Healer of our spiritual lives or do we allow our human reasoning and Satan’s enticements to overrule? The answer is that in many cases the latter rules our lives leaving us spiritually blind.

When we seek our efforts rather than dependance on God we are saying we don’t belong to the One who bought us with the blood of His Son who became our substitute and was our interceder.

We are lost not because we have sinned, but because we are sinners and need God’s chastisement. We are chastised because of God’s love and concern for us. We have one problem…sin. One solution…Christ.
