In a harmonious fusion of music and community spirit, “Rockin’ On The Doe,” a free concert presented by the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department, drew music lovers by the hundreds to downtown Elizabethton on a vibrant Saturday night.
The anticipation was palpable as the crowd gathered, transforming the east end of Elk Avenue into a sea of excited concertgoers. Eager to enjoy the open-air musical experience, attendees spilled over into the enchanting Covered Bridge Park, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.
Headlining the event was Barracuda, a Nashville-based band celebrated as “America’s Heart Tribute Band.” With an endorsement from Heart’s founding member and guitarist, Roger Fisher, Barracuda’s performance promised an authentic journey into Heart’s timeless melodies.
Setting the mood for the evening was the talented Retroville: Unplugged, whose acoustic melodies resonated with the crowd, preparing them for a night of musical magic.
This musical extravaganza was made possible through the generous sponsorship of local institutions, including Carter County Bank, the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce, and the Double Tree Hotel of Johnson City.
