Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will observe homecoming Sunday, Aug. 27, at 10:30 a.m.
This year marks the 180th anniversary of the forming of the church.
Special music will be provided by The Agee Family and the message will be presented by Evangelist Tyler Gaulden of Greensboro, N.C.
Following the service a covered dish meal will be served in the fellowship hall.
There will be no Sunday School or evening service.
The pastor is Dr. Alan King.
Southside Free Will
Southside Free Will Baptist Church will have special singing and preaching Aug. 26 at 6 p.m.
Sacred Journey will sing and Dr. Caleb King will preach.
Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday, Aug. 27, with special singing by the Jeff Norris Family. Lunch will be served following the service.
Everyone is invited.

First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will have Sunday worship at 9:45 a.m. This Sunday’s message will conclude the “Back to the Basics” sermon.
Bible Study is held on Wednesday nights at 6 o’clock.
First Christian also has a food pantry. If you need a food box, call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.

New Liberty Free Will
William “Wil” Charles Greer, the young son of Aaron and Julie Greer, will be baptized following his recent conversion of accepting Christ as his Savior during the Sunday morning worship service at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
The service will begin at 11 a.m. and the baptism will be preceded with special music by Finley Deyton and Hadley Greer and the New Liberty Revival Choir.
Pastor Wesley Duncan invites all of Wil’s family and friends to attend and celebrate this special occasion.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, 119 West F St., will have both an in-person and online worship service Sunday at 11 a.m.
Dr. Bill Kirkwood will be the guest speaker. He will present the sermon “Think A New Thought” based on II Cor. 5:17 and Ecclesiastes.
Meditation is Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in Martin Hall and on Zoom.
The pastor is the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt.
