Kelsye Carroll, daughter of Matt and Kellye Carroll of Chuckey was named 2023 Fairest of the Fair at the Appalachian Fair in Gray Monday evening.
First runner-up was Olivia Castle, daughter of Tim and Kim Castle of Jonesborough; second runner-up was Carnie Cloyd, daughter of Doyle Cloyd of Jonesborough and the late Carolyn Cloyd; third runner-up was Kaitlyn Thacker, daughter of Clinton and Rebekah Thacker of Kingsport; and fourth runner-up was Parker Ballard, daughter of Caine and Joey Ballard of Greeneville.
Named Miss Congeniality was Emma Harrison, daughter of Darin and Jennifer Harrison of Gray.
Kelsye will compete for the State Fairest of the Fair title in Murfreesboro in January 2024.
