As the evening air began to cool down from a hot summer day, runners were ready to blister the course during the annual Elizabethton High School football team’s Friday Night Lights 5K run/walk used as a fundraiser for the program.
A full roster of runners and walkers from young to old along with a few tagalongs including family pets and toddlers in strollers took to the street course when the horn sounded. The event was timed by We Run Events.
