JONESBOROUGH – An investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of and multiple drug violations for Debra Fox, 61, of Johnson City.
Her charges include manufacture/deliver/sell/possess methamphetamine, Schedule I drug violations and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are sold.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, the Sheriff’s Strike Team investigated Fox and revealed she was selling Schedule I narcotics from her residence at 106 Salem Drive. Fox was out on bond, awaiting court proceedings for selling Schedule II narcotics from that same residence in 2022. This residence was also the location of a suspected fentanyl overdose death on March 22, 2023.
Deputies executed a search warrant on the residence on July 12, and located 32.2 grams of methamphetamine, 1.1 grams of heroin, 1.5 grams of marijuana and $2,577.
Fox was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center. She is being held without bond due to committing these additional drug violations while out on bond for the charges from 2022. Her arraignment is scheduled for July 13.
The investigation is ongoing with additional charges and potential arrests related to this case expected.
