The Happy Valley Warriors will host their annual cheer camp on July 15, from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at the Happy Valley Gymnasium and will target kids from kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will be hosted by the Happy Valley Cheer coaches and the Happy Valley High School Cheerleaders. The cost is just $35 and all those who register will receive a free t-shirt and will have the opportunity to perform at the first home football game on August 18 versus the Cloudland Highlanders.
There will be special attention paid to Cheer routines, chants, dance, jumps, tumbling and in game performance. Warriors cheer Coach Sadie Ramsey shared what the kids who register can expect and is excited to encourage those kids who may be just getting into the sport of cheerleading. “We will be focusing on learning a routine consisting of both cheers and chants that they have learned. They will also learn motion skills and jumps. The camp will be taught by myself and the HVHS cheerleader and the monies we raise will go towards helping the Happy Valley Cheer squad with the cost of their camps this year.
For those who are interested, you can go to the Happy Valley High School’s Facebook where you can find the registration form or you can contact Coach Ramsey at sramsey@niswongerfounation.org. Please make checks payable to Happy Valley High School Cheerleading or you can pay with cash the day of the event.
