The following arrests have been reported by the Johnson City Police Department:
On June 29, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Michael McCrae, Johnson City, and charged him with aggravated domestic assault, domestic vandalism, and interference with 911 calls.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance and during the investigation, it was discovered that McCrae had threatened his ex-girlfriend with a knife and broke her phone as she attempted to call 911 to report the incident.
McCrae was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $3,500 bond. An arraignment was on June 30 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On June 29, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Tyan Rogers and Zachary Stratton, both of Johnson City. Rogers is charged with aggravated burglary, robbery, and possession of Schedule VI with intent to sell. Stratton is charged with aggravated burglary.
The arrest stems from a residential burglary investigation. During the investigation, a traffic stop was conducted wherein Rogers and Stratton were vehicle occupants. The investigation revealed that Rogers and Stratton had recently attempted to burglarize an occupied residence. At the time of the traffic stop, Rogers was in possession of a substantial amount of marijuana. Rogers was also a suspect in a robbery investigation that occurred on June 28 and was also charged in relation to that incident.
Rogers and Stratton were arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Rogers is currently being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Stratton is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. An arraignment for both individuals was on June 30 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On July 4, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jeremy Beckham, Johnson City, and charged him with aggravated domestic assault.
At 3:02 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Robinson Drive regarding a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that Beckham had brandished a weapon during the argument and placed the firearm against the victim’s throat. Beckham left the property briefly before returning and speaking with officers.
Beckham was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. Arraignment was on July 5 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On July 5, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Darrien Billings, 20, Johnson City, and charged him with felony vandalism.
At approximately 9:10 a.m., officers responded to 404 Ashe St. An Investigation revealed that Billings had left the business and thrown an object at the door causing approximately $1,600 in damages.
Police located Billings a short time later and placed him under arrest. Billings was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $1,500 bond. Arraignment was on July 6 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
