JONESBOROUGH – On June 30, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Keith Earl Davis Jr., 40, of Jonesborough, and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault and evading arrest.

According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies responded to an address on A.A. Deakins Road in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that Davis had threatened two people with a knife during a domestic incident. Davis left the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.

Deputies located Davis barricaded inside a residence in the 300 block of A.A. Deakins Road. He would not comply with demands to exit. After a standoff, deputies utilized K9 Sgt. Rico to make entry into the residence and take Davis into custody.
Further investigation revealed that Davis also had an outstanding felony warrant for violation of probation out of Sullivan County. He was transported without incident to the Washington County Detention Center, where he remains on a $25,000 bond. He appeared in court on July 3.
