On Saturday, June 24, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., there will be a multi-agency active shooter training event at Elizabethton High School located at 907 Jason Witten Way.
The event is hosted by the Elizabethton Police Department.
The Elizabethton Police Department along with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, Elizabethton Fire Department, Carter County Rescue Squad, Emergency Management Agency, Communications Center, and Elizabethton High School will be conducting the event.
The goal of this realistic training is to help prepare all agencies in the event a critical incident occurs.
The focus will be on effective communication between all agencies during a critical incident, effectively working together as one unit to neutralize the threat, and then rendering aid to victims (Stop the Dying) in hot zones.
This will be a rain or shine event.
