A fun-filled weekend of events is on tap Saturday and Sunday at Tipton-Haynes Historic Site, 2620 S. Roan St., Johnson City.
There will be lots of great food and music as well as great vendors. Also, the Appalachian Highlands Company will host Highland games and activities in the lower field at the site as well as archery. Multiple tournaments will be hosted over the weekend in the upper orchards. A Gilma wrestling tournament and single sword tournament will be held Saturday, and a pole weapon tournament is on Sunday’s agenda.
Owl Ridge Raptors Centers, sponsor of the weekend events, will be present with their birds of prey.
There will be much more to do and see at this weekend’s events.
Events both days will begin 10 a.m and end at 6 p.m.
