The Carter Country Democratic Women will host Shauna Webb from Moms Demand Action – Gun Safety at its meeting Tuesday, June 27.
The group will meet at 6 p.m. at the Black Olive in Elizabethton. Those who wish to come early for a meal, please arrive around 5:15 p.m.
After the pledge and moment of silence, the program will be turned over to Shauna Webb, who will speak to the group about plans to make our country safer by preventing gun violence. The meeting is open to those who wish to learn more. After Shauna Webb speaks, there will be time for questions.
Following the meeting, the group will reassemble to make plans for their picnic in July and take care of other business items. This meeting is open to men as well as women. Those wishing to join, dues are $10 for regular membership, and the same for gentlemen as auxiliary members.
