Power, Meronk set to play in PGA Championship

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – ETSU alums Seamus Power and Adrian Meronk are gearing up for the second major of the golf season.
After already appearing in the Masters last month, Power and Meronk will be playing in this week’s PGA Championship. The 105th PGA Championship gets underway Thursday morning at Oak Hill Country Club (East Course) in Rochester, New York.
Meronk, making his PGA Championship debut, will tee off Thursday morning at 8:44 a.m. The Buccaneer All-American is grouped with five-time PGA Tour winner Luke Donald and Yannik Paul. The group will then tee off Friday at 2:09 p.m.
Meronk, who will be the first Polish golfer to compete in all four Majors, captured his third career win on the DP World Tour back on May 7 when he came away victorious at the Italian Open. The Polish native won his first DP World Tour title at the 2022 Irish Open and then won the 2023 Australian Open. Meronk made his Masters debut last month, while he finished 42nd at the 2022 Open Championship and played in the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.
Power will go out in the afternoon in Thursday’s opening round as he tees off at 1:42 p.m. The two-time ASUN champion will then tee off Friday morning at 8:17 a.m. Power is grouped with Sungjae Im and Chris Kirk. The group has combined for nine career wins on the PGA Tour with Power winning the 2021 Barbasol Championship and the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Power has appeared in all four Majors and finished tied for ninth at last year’s PGA Championship at Southern Hills. Power finished at 1-under-par 279.
Justin Thomas is the reigning PGA Champion.
ESPN, ESPN+ and CBS will provide the television coverage for this weekend’s PGA Championship. ESPN+ will carry the coverage on Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 – 10 a.m. ESPN will then pick up play Thursday and Friday from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. CBS will carry the coverage Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.
