Miss Marsha Denise Buckles, 39, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Marsha was born in Elizabethton and was the daughter of Nancy Katherine Lowe of Elizabethton and Lloyd Dean Buckles Sr. of Elizabethton. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd Dean Buckles Jr. and Virgil Lee Buckles; maternal grandparents, Mary and Roy Coleman; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Sarah Buckles; and her loving cat, Mickey Oreo Buckles.
Marsha loved going to church and was a faithful member of Lynnwood-Lynnridge Community Church. She also loved watching Gaither Videos and loved Christmas. Marsha was a 2005 graduate of Unaka High School.
In addition to her parents, those left to remember and cherish the memory of Miss Marsha Denise Buckles include her sister, Markia Michelle Rutledge of Bluff City; half-sister, Mary Ann Buckles of Elizabethton; niece, Cassie Michelle Buckles; nephews, Damian Lee Eugene Buckles and Andrew Gabriel Buckles; great-nephew, Tucker Lee Raney; and special friends, Penny Chambers, Julie Lyons, Teresa Greenwell and Joe Gass.
A celebration of Miss Marsha’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Rev. Nick Bradshaw and Pastor Rick Blackburn officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel between the hours of 1 and 2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Miss Marsha Denise Buckles will be laid to rest following the service at Emmert Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joe Gass, Damian Buckles, Andrew Buckles, Justin Rutledge, David Hoilman and Naz Stines.
