Georgia Nell Turbyfield, 81, Butler, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late G.L. and Lockie Pilk Turbyfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Lace, Homer and Dale Pilk and Doran Turbyfield; one sister, Eula Morrell; and several nephews including a special nephew, Gurney Pilk.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Wednesday, February 15, in the Lakeview Cemetery with the Rev. Nick Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.
