Ms. Joan Elaine Dison, 64, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her family. Joan had been living at Lakebridge Nursing Home since 2002.
When Joan was born on April 19, 1958, in El Dorado, Ark., she was premature and weighed less than 2 pounds. Joan had been a fighter all her life. She struggled to do things that we take for granted but you never heard her complain. She was an inspiration for everyone she met and will be truly missed.
Joan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and she loved computer games and watching TV shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley “Gene” Dison and Bertha Rinke Dison.
Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Theresa Rice (Fred); brothers, Mark Dison (Beth), Larry Dison (Krista) and Billy Dison (Angela); eight nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 16, at Washington County Memory Gardens Chapel with Deacon George Fredricks officiating. Condolences may be sent to the Dison family online at www.dillow-taylor.com
