Ramsey’s 36 points lead Lady Rangers over Chuckey-Doak on Friday night

The Lady Rangers traveled to Afton on Friday night to come away with a 62-57 victory led by Lyndie Ramsey’s 36 points. The game between the Lady Knights and Lady Rangers was nip and tuck throughout the game. The score was knotted at 14 at the end of the first period, led by Haley Taylor’s six points and Lyndie Ramsey’s five points. The Lady Black Knights would take the lead going into the half, 27-26. Unaka would take the lead in the third by outscoring Chuckey-Doak 15-12 to take a 41-39 lead going into the fourth period. The Lady Rangers would pull away in the fourth to take a hard-fought 62-57 non-conference victory. Lyndie Ramsey would lead Unaka with 36 points, hittingĀ 20 of 25 free throws. To round out the scoring for Unaka, Haley Taylor, 11; Katelyn Dugger, 6; Jill Faust, 3 and Emma Taylor, 1. Saniah Atchison and Kennedy Brown would lead the Lady Black Knights with 13 and 12 points, respectfully.
