The following arrests have been reported by the Johnson City Police Department:
On Jan. 4, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Leah Anderson, Elizabethton, and charged her with false reporting.
At approximately 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to assist the Johnson City Fire Department on a fire alarm activation at the John Sevier Center. It was determined that a female subject pulled the fire alarm on the ninth floor and exited the building. The fire alarm was determined to be a false alarm. The female was located soon after and was identified as Leah Anderson. She was subsequently charged with false reporting.
Anderson was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held on a $7,500 bond. Arraignment was on Jan. 5 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On Jan. 10, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joshua K. Byrd, Johnson City, for forgery.
Officers responded to a call on Jan. 9 at 1185 N. State of Franklin Road, regarding a forgery. Upon arriving at the bank, officers determined that Byrd had attempted to cash a fraudulent $1,200 check. Byrd fled the location and a warrant was obtained.
Byrd was later located, placed under arrest, and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $1,500 bond. Arraignment was on Jan. 11 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On Jan. 12, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Nathan White, Johnson City, and charged him with convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
At approximately 7:46 p.m., officers were checking a residence off of E. Myrtle Ave. in reference to locating stolen property. Officers made contact with White during the course of the investigation. A loaded handgun was located in a room where White was staying. White admitted to officers that he was a convicted felon.
White was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center without incident. He is being held on a $5,000 bond. Arraignment was on Jan. 13 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
