The Lady Cyclones fed off the energy of the crowd in Treadway Gymnasium Thursday night to score 21 first-quarter points Lina Lyon and Reena Lane sparked the quick start by hitting four three-pointers. The Lady Indians would threaten to tie the game up several times in the second half but the Lady Cyclones would hit 9 of 11 free throws down the stretch to get the big win.

Lina Lyon led the Cyclone with 19, while Reena Lane would score 19 on the night. Olivia Holly would chip in 9 in the victory. The Lady Indians would be led in scoring by Caroline Hill who would have 18 on the night. The Lady Cyclone will travel to Hilton Head South Carolina o participate in the Winter Park Christmas Tournament.

Lyndie Ramsey would score 35 points on the night but it wouldn’t be enough as the Lady Rebels would use a 33-point third quarter to break open a 29-29 halftime score. Emma Taylor and Keyone Hague would chip in 6 points a piece for the Ranger. South Greene would be led by Haley Brooks who would score 21 on the evening.

Both teams started slowly as Cloudland was able to go into the break up 16-12 A back-and-forth third quarter would end on a 6-0 run, capped off by an Isabella Christman jumper to push the Highlanders to an eight-point advantage going into the final period. The Warriors despite their efforts could close the gap as the Highlanders Makenzie Street would hit a big three-pointer to extend the lead.

Happy Valley’s Kadie Bailey would lead all scorers in a game in which points were hard to get, with 11. Street with lead Cloudland with nine points hitting three-three-pointers while Ella Benfield would chip in seven to lead their team to the 12-point victory.

In a defensive struggle, Cloudland was able to squeak out a win on their home court. The Warriors would come out strong going out to a 9-1 lead, but Nick Carraway and Jacob Street would help the Highlanders close the gap in the second period giving the Warriors a two-point advantage at the half.  Happy Valley would take the lead on 11-3 run, with a run of their own. The Highlanders would hit their free throws in the final minutes of the game to secure the victory.

Eli Morgan would lead the Highlanders with nine and Street would score seven in the Highlanders win. Dakota Grindstaff would score nine for the Warriors off three-three-pointers.

The Rangers dug a 12-point hole in the first quarter and though they would close the lead to under 10 points at times, the Rebels would continually keep them at arms-length throughout the contest. Joe-z Blamo would lead the Rangers with 13, while Junior Center Marcus Shomaker would add 12. Jace Roderick would score 11 for the Rebels in the win.
