To the Editor:
It was my privilege to prepare and present a “Concert of Thanks” on November 13 at Borderview Christian Church. Having never attended a Thanksgiving Concert, I thought it would be a great time to express thanks for all that we have here in Carter County and make this concert a fundraiser for Assistance and Resource Ministries, Inc. (ARM) located at 714 West C St.
I am pleased to state that we were able to raise over $5,000, allowing this non-profit ministry to provide free food and clothing for qualifying families in Carter County. I want to say a huge “thank you” to everyone who encouraged me for this concert and for all those who gave. We are blessed to live in a community that cares.
