WCSO traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Holly Headley, 22, Limestone, on Monday during a routine traffic stop. Headley was taken into custody on an active warrant for violation of probation, but deputies also discovered Schedule I and Schedule VI narcotics in her vehicle along with drug paraphernalia.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies stopped a black sedan for a traffic violation on Telford New Victory Road. The driver, identified as Headley, was wanted for violation of probation and taken into custody on that warrant.
K9 Mali conducted an open air sniff around the vehicle giving a positive alert to the presence of an illegal narcotic. Deputies located 5.0g of marijuana, 3.5g of marijuana wax, and 3.0g of mushrooms (Psilocybin) in addition to the drug paraphernalia. A court date in Sessions Court is pending for Headley, and her bond was set at $7,000.
