Ella Roseland Guy, 78, of Elizabethton, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. She was a daughter of the late Ernest and Minnie Caldwell Johnson and was born on September 26, 1944.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Roxie Whaley Johnson; a son, James Burrow; eight brothers, Bruce (Inez) Johnson, Harold (Breness) Johnson, Ed (Lola) Johnson, Dee (Rosy) Johnson, Calvin Clay (Myrtle) Johnson, Abe (Janice) Johnson, and Edman (Sharon) Johnson; and four sisters, Martha (Ed) Moore, Shirley (Nina) Johnson, Linda (Jerry) Townsend and Lois Johnson.
Those left to cherish her many memories include three daughters, Sally Honeycutt, Etta Markland and Lela Sherrill; two sons, William Burrow and Henry Burrow; two step-sons, Dwayne Guy and Jody Guy; a sister, Diane (Dean) Stout; a brother, Frank (Debbie) Johnson; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Ella Roseland Guy will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, November 7, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. The family would like to thank Brother Dean and wife for the love and care they have shown to the family.
