On October 30, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joshua T. Williams, 37, Johnson City, for felony vandalism, public intoxication and resisting arrest.
At 1:07 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call regarding an unknown disturbance at New Beginnings, 2910 Bristol Hwy. Upon arriving, officers made contact with a highly intoxicated Williams and his wife. During the course of the investigation, multiple vehicles were found that had been vandalized and witnesses identified Williams as the suspect. While Williams was detained and being examined by EMS, he attempted to flee, but was quickly apprehended.
Williams was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment was on October 31 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 30, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested William Bossert, Johnson City, and charged him with being a fugitive from justice in another state.
Officers made contact with Bossert while patrolling the area of an abandoned business at 2416 N. Roan St. During their interaction with Bossert, officers discovered that there was a warrant for his arrest out of Georgia for a violation of probation.
Bossert was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a bond hearing. Arraignment was on October 31 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 31, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Anthony M. Myers, Johnson City, and charged him with attempted aggravated arson, simple domestic assault, and five counts of reckless endangerment.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1300 block of Spruce St. Myers and his girlfriend were in a verbal altercation. During the arguing, Myers retrieved a gas can and poured gasoline on the outside of the house. When Myers picked up a lighter, his girlfriend tried to take it from him and they both struggled for it. During the struggle, Myers’ girlfriend sustained minor cuts to her arm and hand. There were three juveniles and another adult in the residence at the time.
Myers was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. His arraignment was set for November 1 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 30, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Ronald Sievers, Johnson City, and charged him with aggravated assault, in conjunction with child abuse and neglect.
At 3:15 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to an address on Knob Creek Road regarding a domestic assault. Officers collected a detailed account from a juvenile victim who stated she was confronted by Sievers in the kitchen of their shared home. During the altercation, Sievers placed the victim in a choke hold. After speaking with both parties, Sievers was placed under arrest for aggravated assault, along with child abuse and neglect. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center on an $11,000.00 bond. He was arraigned on October 31 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On November 1, investigators of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joshua and Marah Tucker, Johnson City. Both were both charged with one count of worthless checks over $10,000 and one count of theft over $10,000.
The investigation revealed that Mr. and Mrs. Tucker fraudulently transferred money from a financial institution to the Bank of Tennessee. The Tuckers uploaded numerous worthless checks via mobile deposit which they then withdrew the funds.
The couple were taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where they are both being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. They will be arraigned on November 2 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
