On October 24, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Dora Warren, Johnson City, and charged her with aggravated assault towards a first responder and public intoxication.
At 10:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of the Downtown Square breezeway due to a possible fight in progress. Once on scene, officers located several homeless subjects in a verbal altercation. Upon officers making contact with Warren, they observed her to be intoxicated. When officers attempted to arrest her, she brandished a knife that was concealed in her belongings. Officers were able to disarm Warren and take her into custody.
Warren was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $3,000 bond. Arraignment was on October 25 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 25, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Noah Gates, Johnson City, and charged him with auto theft and simple possession of Schedule IV narcotics.
Officers were investigating the theft of a motor vehicle that occurred at approximately 8 a.m. Security camera footage revealed Gates as the suspect stealing the vehicle. Around 10 a.m., the vehicle was located behind a residence. Gates was located inside that home, and when he was taken into custody, a search of his person discovered 12 Xanax tablets (Schedule IV controlled substance) in a baggie, which were not prescribed to Gates.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment was on October 26 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 25, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Perry W. McQuoid, 41, and charged him with felony evading arrest, driving on a suspended license and speeding.
At approximately 5:12 p.m,. officers attempted to stop McQuoid for speeding. He fled the attempted stop on his motorcycle. Officers located McQuoid shortly after and he was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of an $11,000 bond. Arraignment was on October 26 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 25, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Perry McQuoid, Unicoi, and charged him with evading arrest by motor vehicle (felony), vandalism (felony), reckless endangerment (felony), driving on suspended license (misdemeanor), and simple possession of Schedule I (misdemeanor).
At approximately 5:22 p.m., officers were searching for a red Suzuki GSX motorcycle, which had previously fled from an attempted traffic stop. Officers located the motorcycle and driver, identified as Perry McQuoid, stopped in an alleyway. Officers gave commands for McQuoid to stop the motorcycle. McQuoid ignored the commands and recklessly took off at a high rate of speed, attempting to pass between an officer on foot and his patrol vehicle, endangering the officer. As the officer attempted to stop McQuoid, the motorcycle struck the police cruiser, causing damage. McQuoid then lost control of the motorcycle and attempted to flee on foot, but was taken into custody. The investigation revealed McQuoid was driving on a suspended license, and while searching McQuoid after the arrest, officers located a small baggie containing suspected heroin in his pocket.
McQuoid was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of an $18,000 bond. Arraignment was scheduled was on October 26 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 26, at approximately 8:41 a.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Cassandra Ramsey, Johnson City, and charged her with aggravated assault.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex where a female suspect was chasing the victim with a knife through the parking lot. Officers arrived on scene and were able to apprehend the suspect, identified as Cassandra Ramsey, without further incident.
Ramsey was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held on a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for October 27 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 26, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Michael Light, Kingsport, and charged him with convicted felon in possession of firearm.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to 2011 N. Roan St., in reference to a shoplifting suspect. Officers made contact with Light inside the mall. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Light had possession of a handgun and is a convicted felon.
Light was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center without incident. He is being held on a $15,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on October 27 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
