On October 15, 2022, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Terry Potter (Johnson City, TN) and charged him with aggravated assault.
At approximately 5:34 p.m., officers responded to an address of Spruce St regarding a shots fired complaint. The investigation revealed that after an argument between Potter and the victim over cars blocking a driveway, Potter retrieved a handgun and pointed it at the victim. Potter then fired several shots into the air.
Officers located Potter and the handgun at a nearby residence.
Potter was arrested and transported to the Washington County detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond. Arraignment was on October 17, 2022, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 15, 2022, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kirsten M. Carrick of Johnson City, TN. Carrick is charged with burglary and shoplifting-theft of property.
The arrest occurred after officers responded to a call in reference to a subject shoplifting at Walmart on Browns Mill Rd. After further investigation, it was determined that Carrick was previously trespassed from Walmart and was discovered to have concealed approximately $150.00 of Walmart property.
Carrick was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is currently being held in lieu of a $3,000 bond. An arraignment was on October 17, 2022, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On was on October 18, 2022, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Heath Lawson, Johnson City and charged him with Burglary.
At approximately 9:37 a.m., officers responded to the Boost Mobile Cellular Store, 1736 W Walnut St, in response to a burglary earlier that morning. The owner of the business was able to provide officers with video footage that was later used to locate and identify Lawson.
He was taken into custody and charged with Burglary and transported to Washington County Detention Center. Lawson is being held on a $5,000 bond. Arraignment was on October 19, 2022, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On October 19, 2022, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 23-year-old Emily R. Rogers of Kingsport, TN, for Theft of Property and Burglary.
On October 19, 2022, at 4:03 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding a shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3111 Browns Mill Rd. Upon arriving at the address, officers determined that Rogers had recently been charged with Theft of Property (shoplifting) and had been trespassed from the location. She was detained and charged with both Theft of Property and Burglary.
Rogers was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment was on October 20, 2022, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
