The top seed in Region 1-1A is set after Cloudland blows out Jellico on Friday Night.
After two consecutive losses, the Highlanders hit the road for a conference showdown with the Blue Devils. With the top seed in Region 1-1A at stake, Cloudland responded with a convincing 38-12 victory. The Highlanders led at the half 30-6 thanks to Gage Mckinney’s three touchdowns. He would finish the game with five. With the win, Cloudland remains undefeated in conference play at 3-0 and increases their overall record to 3-5. Jellico remains winless on the season and falls to 0-4 in the conference and 0-8 overall. The Blue Devils extend their losing streak to 11 consecutive games.
The win also gives Cloudland the top seed and home-field advantage in the playoffs.
Jellico is off next week and Cloudland will host Johnson County on Friday, Oct. 21 with kickoff at 7:30.
