Lady Cyclones pick up conference win

The Elizabethton Lady Cyclone volleyball team picked up a conference win by defeating Johnson County in three sets on Tuesday.
The Lady Cyclones took the three-set match 25-11, 25-17, and 25-16 in John Treadway Gym.
Gracie Kirsch led the Cyclones offensive effort with 13 kills followed by Zoe Proffitt with six and Ainsley Wampler with five.
The Lady Cyclones’ defense was led by Bailee Vanhuss with 22 digs followed by Ainsley Wampler with nine; Zyliegh Bates and Marley Lewis with eight; and Jayci Bowers with seven.
The win raises the Lady Cyclones season record to 2-3-0 in conference and 5-6-0 overall.
The Lady Cyclones will resume conference play on Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Elizabethton High School hosting No. 6 ranked Tennessee High Vikings.
