Terry Lee Rice, 67, Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, August 29, 2022, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born June 7, 1955, in Johnson City to the late George Lee & Daisy Knight Rice.
He was a graduate of Science Hill High School and attended East Tennessee State University. He was a retired Field Representative with the US Census Bureau. He loved playing golf with his wife and Christian Brothers and collecting gemstones. His greatest joy was sharing the gospel and his faith through song in his church as well as other church congregations, singing the praises of his Lord. He was a member of Gap Creek Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include his wife of 22 years: Debbie Heaton Rice. Two aunts: Linda Vicars, Bristol, Va. and Lillian Shelton, Bristol, Tenn. Two cousins: Melvin Hawks and Rita Hawks, also his church family.
It was his wish to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at a later date.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Rice Family.
