To the Editor:
Over the last 40 years, Christian parents have been confronted with the question of how to educate their children. Should homeschooling be considered? Is the cost of a Christian education worth it? Maybe keeping children in public school means they are shining the light of Jesus and being salt and light for fellow students. Is it time to run and not walk away from public education? There have been scary changes in the public school system as more LGBTQ based propaganda crept in, escalating today to a new level of extreme liberalism/leftism. The ABCs have become the ABCs of unnatural sexuality. The sweet little Gingerbread man who ran as fast as he could has become the Genderbread person indoctrinating young children to sexual perversion. In some school systems if parents aren’t watching, Christian children may be swept into the chase before they can tie their own shoes.
A recent story in the Epoch Times, www.theepochtimes.com, tells an all-too-common school incident of great impact. A 12-year-old, whom we call Amanda, attended an after-school Art Club.
This innocent girl was indoctrinated during the club and was groomed by the leader. “When the leader told Amanda she must be ‘transgender’ if she didn’t feel fully comfortable in her own body, the shy little girl suspected something wasn’t right.” She was given a whimsical flyer portraying the Genderbread Person and a transgender flag which the leader had groomed her into believing was Amanda’s sexual preference. She was told that school was a safe place and that she should not report anything that was discussed there with her parents. Thank God she did. That one incident has caused multiple mental health challenges for Amanda. Her innocence was stolen as surely as if she had been assaulted. If your children have gender confusion see Art Webb or Brian Scott.
Sadly, this isn’t just one school in one district. In some states like California principals and teachers are taught to provide “safe” sexual orientation at school. A school principal stated, “gender identity teaching could occur throughout the school year in all subject areas.” You could drop your son off at school at 8 a.m. and he would go to the principal’s office where a new clothes wardrobe would be waiting. He could change into a dress, put on nail polish and lipstick and spend the day at school presenting as if a girl. All of this would be hidden from his parents. With this teaching platform too many teachers are now promoting identity confusion, emotional harm, and insecurity which are negative impacts that could last a lifetime. Teaching gender identity and fluidity and other LGBTQ concepts are strongly represented in social studies and science. Parents in many states aren’t given warnings or options to opt their children out. It’s time for the Christian family to become the fox that eats the Genderbread. Be proactive. Research your school district’s stance. The Focus on the Family article, “Dealing with Transgender Issues in Elementary School” offers some helpful downloadable booklets.
Parents need to watch and pray for their children as many children are kidnapped and trafficked for occult or satanic purposes according to www.skywatchtv.com. Also, attacks on and indoctrination of children is satanic and increasing in these end days. The Bible tells the truth. Genesis 5:2, “Male and female created he them; and blessed them…” Parents need to know what their children are reading and watching to ensure they aren’t being indoctrinated or reading wicked or worthless books or articles. Go to the Christian website www.focusonthefamily.com then click plugged’n and it will review all movies. Some teachers and children’s books promote transgenderism or homosexuality. Some homosexual children’s books such as “Jack and Jim,” “And Tango Makes Three” “King & King” and “Heather Has Two Mommies” are available and being checked out at most public libraries and school libraries. Take children to church, read Bible stories to children and make sure you know what they are reading or studying at school. Most of all, make sure your children know Jesus loves them and you love them. Tell your children how to be saved and how to begin a relationship with Jesus. Tell them the ABCs of becoming a Christian. First, admit you are a sinner and need the savior Jesus. Second, believe in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection. Third, call on Jesus and confess with your mouth and believe in your heart. A pastor said make sure you keep yourself and your children’s face in the book — Bible — and not on Facebook. In Psalms 101, King David said, “I will set no wicked (worthless) thing before mine eyes.” President John Adams correctly said, “The Bible is the best book in the world. it contains more than all the libraries I have seen!”
