On August 3, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jonathon Bulla, Johnson City, and charged him with aggravated robbery, attempted carjacking, auto burglary, and theft of property over $1,000.
On July 1, two subjects were robbed at gunpoint on Knob Creek Dock Road. The suspects fled the scene in a silver SUV. The SUV was later found, along with Bulla. Bulla was initially arrested on unrelated charges. A search warrant was executed on the vehicle and the victim’s insurance card was found inside. After investigation, a warrant was obtained for Bulla and served on him at the Washington County Detention Center.
Bulla is being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. An arraignment was on August 4 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On August 5, Morris Wyatt, 63, Johnson City, was arrested and charged with identity theft, driving on a suspended license (third offense) and failure to exercise due care. The arrest stems from a crash investigation where Wyatt used the identity of another to avoid arrest due to his driver’s license status. Wyatt was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he was booked on the charges and appeared in General Sessions Court on August 8.
On August 5, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Candace Young and Keviontre Counsel, Johnson City, charging them both with one count of felony child abuse.
This arrest stems from a joint investigation with the Department of Children’s Services and the Johnson City Police Department involving allegations of child abuse and neglect.
Young and Counsel were booked into the Washington County Detention Center, where they are being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
On August 8, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jamie Miller, Johnson City, charging her with burglary and theft under $1000. These charges were placed after police responded to Walmart on Browns Mill Road to investigate a theft that occurred where the suspect (Miller) had fled on foot. She was located and taken into custody while fleeing to a nearby parking lot. Shortly thereafter, a Walmart loss prevention employee notified officers that Miller had been charged with shoplifting from Walmart in the past and had been issued a written trespass warning, therefore she was charged with burglary.
Miller is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $3000 bond. She appeared in Washington County General Sessions Court on August 9.
On August 10, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Mark Horton, a resident of Telford, and charged him with embezzlement.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation into several incidents at Lowes, 180 Marketplace Blvd., Johnson City. Officers discovered Horton, an employee of Lowes, had been staging merchandise at the exit door, then leaving with the items without paying. The incidents started as early as May 10, 2022, with the total loss of known merchandise being 20 items for a total of $1,132.50.
He is being held at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Horton is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on August 11.
