Mountain City will host Sunflower Festival July 9

Mountain City will host its annual Sunflower Festival Saturday, July 9, with the Little Miss/Mr. Sunflower Pageant. Registration for the pageant will be from 8 to 9 a.m. with judging and awards from 9 to 11 a.m. The registration fee is $35.
Registration for the annual Deputy Allen Lipford Memorial Car/Truck/Bike show begins at 9 a.m. and continues until 11 a.m. The registration fee is $10. Judging and awards will be from11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Entertainment begins on the Courthouse steps at 11 a.m. and will feature Cameron Clawson and Band. The Twirling Twins will perform at noon, and The Jigsaw Jane Band will finish the festival off, beginning at 1 p.m.
There will also be free inflatables located in the Fun Zone sponsored by Parkdale. The Fun Zone is packed with fun for all ages such as the Imagination Library book bus, carnival games with prizes, and face painting.
There will also be food and drink vendors as well as over 250 vendors ranging from crafts, direct sales, non profits, boutiques, art, decor and so much for everyone! There will also be 2022 Sunflower Festival t-shirts for purchase.
