JCPD arrests Kingstro on various charges

On June 14 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Naaji M. Kingstro of Marietta, Ga., and charged him with attempted aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm while attempting to commit a dangerous felony.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 2300 block of McKinley Road. Upon arrival at a residence, officers made contact with a male subject who reported a man, later identified as Kingstro, had come to his residence and pointed a handgun at him when he came to the door. The victim then retreated inside his residence while Mr. Kingstro attempted to force the door open by kicking and hitting the door. When Kingstro failed to make entry, he fled the scene in a black minivan. At approximately 1 a.m., officers located the minivan in the 300 block of Colorado St. Officers then located Kingstro hiding behind a residence, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Kingstro is being held at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $60,000 bond. He appeared for arraignment on June 16,at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
