It is with broken hearts and great sorrow that our loved one, Jeremiah Thomas Quintero, of Gray, passed on June 12, 2022. He was born on December 17, 1975 in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Jeremiah graduated EHS in 1993. He then pursued his career in the electrical field becoming an industrial electrician. He was an active member of the IBEW Union #934. He was employed at Cardinal Glass (formally AGC). He loved riding his motorcycle on mountain back roads and fly fishing in our local rivers. He was a born athlete. He played baseball and football and later in life played for the Johnson City Rugby league. He loved every minute of it!
Because of his larger than life personality and the ability to travel Jeremiah has made so many friends that trying to count them would be like trying to count the stars on a clear night. He brought joy, love, and loyalty to all who knew him whether for an hour or a lifetime. His greatest joy and love of his life are his children. His daughter Stella and son Julian were always by his side. You would never see Jeremiah without the two. His days were spent loving them and he truly enjoyed every moment spent with them.
His absence leaves a void which cannot be filled, only accepted.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife Jenna Quintero, daughter Stella and son Julian; his mother, Vanessa Hilton Wood and step-father, Michael; sister, Wendi Lambert-Wilkes and husband Jackson; multiple nieces, Paige and her partner Jesse, Sydni, Riley, Livia and Gabriella, and one nephew, Cooper, who adored him; great-nieces and nephews, Quentin, Abram, Phoebe and Parker; maternal aunts, Lynda Hilton, Kathy Fair, Hope Hilton and Tammy (Gary)Turner; first cousins and first best friends, Faith, Becky, Amber, Joey, Kristin, Rhianon, Robert and Cody; his father Frank Quintero and step-mother Maryanne and sister Elizabeth; his mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blevins; sister-in-law, Jessie Blevins and spouse Seth Baird and niece Nora Baird; and special friend, Dave Jamison.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour at 1 p.m.
