ABINGDON, Va. — Between June 10 and July 15, AT&T will match any gift that is given to Barter dollar for dollar, up to a total of $25,000. All proceeds will go towards Barter’s Annual Fund for Artistic Excellence, which will help the theatre continue to welcome patrons for years to come.
According to Producing Artistic Director Katy Brown, “all gifts given to the theatre helps us to create productions which will bring people into our region both now, and into the future.” Jackie Blevins, Director of Advancement & External Affairs, agreed with the following statement: “Barter Theatre is very grateful for this extraordinary relationship with AT&T and the opportunity to create this matching initiative for our donors!”
Vince Apruzzese, Regional Vice President of AT&T Virginia, had this to add: “We’re glad that the ‘Make Me a Match’ initiative the Barter Theatre launched in 2020 remains a great way for the theatre to provide high-quality performing arts programs in Southwest Virginia. We look forward to another successful season.”
