Senator Rusty Crowe (R-Johnson City) received a 91% score for his 2022 education voting record by Team Kid, an advocacy group for effective public education in Tennessee.
“Our students are our future. I am proud to have served on the Senate Education Committee for many years and I am proud of what we in Tennessee have all done together to improve education for our students and teachers,” said Senator Crowe. “This year was a historic year for education in Tennessee not only for our students but for our teachers as well. The new TISA approach to education funding will see student behavioral health, school safety, student needs, accountability, rigorous standards, and teacher appreciation as priorities. I look forward to the coming session as we work to move Tennessee even further ahead in our national rankings.”
The scores are based on a review of each lawmaker’s record on policies supporting high-quality public education. Team Kid is comprised of parents, teachers and leaders on a mission to ensure every child in every district of the state has access to a quality public school.
