Sunshine Market will be hosting a dance at 7 p.m. Bring family and friends on out to enjoy karaoke and a cake walk along with dancing. All ages are welcome so come hungry and ready to sing and dance. We also have the best burgers in town.

The Roan Mountain Spring Concert Series 2022 will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Anderson Community Park (19E behind the post office). Performing some great country music will be The Dime Store Cowboys, a local crowd-pleaser sure to entertain. Pack a snack, bring a lawn chair, spread a blanket and come enjoy an evening on the Roan.
The Hubert and Faithie Shell Family Reunion will be held at 2 p.m. at Roan Mountain State Park at the shelter at the campground. For more information, call Janice Oliver at 423-772-4129.
A Fish and Chicken Fry will be held at 4 p.m. at Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va. In addition to fish and chicken, the meal will include lots of fantastic sides, a large variety of desserts, and drinks. The Boones Creek High School Class of 1971 is having a 51-year reunion at the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City. Cost is not yet confirmed but will be less than $50/person. The hotel has reserved a block of discounted rooms if you are traveling in from out of town, or just don’t want to drive after partying. Lyons Cemetery, 1259 Dry Creek Road, Elizabethton, will be holding their annual Decoration Day at 2 p.m. The Rev. Danny Osborne will be speaker for the occasion. There will be special singing and congregational singing as well. Please join us as we pay tribute to our loved ones that have gone on before us.
